What was the deal?
Trump’s modus operandi is predictable; it has been so; by now we all know his behavior pattern.
Just a few minutes ago, the White House [or Trump’s administration] directed the staff to start the transition activities allowing the president-elect, Joe Biden, and vice president-elect Kamala Harris. Biden team will start interacting with the White House team to make a smooth transition of transfer of power.
DEMOCRACY WON!
Is there a reason?
Perhaps, Trump and or his lawyers do not see, or do not have, a way to turn the November 2020 election results to his favor. Federal judges have been turn down (more than 28 cases) Trump’s law suits. Maybe, he plans to be a candidate for president in 2024. But, would he be illegible, then? He may face legal cases in New York and perhaps, in other places. Would he win these legal cases?
The benefit of the White Decision!
The good thing for America and us, the people, is that we now have the opportunity to go forward with a normal (really?) change of government (as democracy requires). The world will benefit a lot from the New administration and the democracy of the United States of America.
