Power of pardoning

The President’s pardoning power

Considering that no one is above the law, not even the president, we can also understand that no one has authority and or power to revert judgements and sentences handed out by federal judges. The power of a president to pardon anyone for crimes committed indicates that she or he is above the law, and he or she, like a king or queen  with absolute power, overrules the rule of law. Is it constitutional? Is this equality? I can only see these political favors in an autocratic, dictatorships that pardons to return a favor (for personal benefits).

The purpose of presidential pardon

Why should president Trump only pardons those who stand behind his whims? Why we, the people, do not have the power to overrule such presidential actions? We the people are the supreme sovereignty. I wonder why he pardoned the turkey this November. The turkey did not covered up Trump’s actions (legal or illegal).

The will of the people is the supreme sovereignty

We, the people, need to reform our constitution to eliminate this, God like, power from any current president and or future ones. Is this equal justice for all? We, the people, wrote the constitution, it just our social contract, and we can also change it when change becomes necessary. We have the constitutional mandate to form a more perfect Union.
